Top Artists Join Music Venture To Advantage The California Colleges
Over the past decade, music may be severely declining in the California universities. A recent study showed that within the past five years there has been a 50 percent decline in student participation in music applications.
Additionally, it showed that a single third of all music teachers have lost their jobs in just that identical time frame.
The study predicts that music schooling will likely be eliminated from the California schools within the next ten years, unless dramatic changes occur. Music in the California universities program is at a critical juncture.
